Colorado Springs, Colo. (July 30, 2008)— To show its appreciation for the community of Colorado Springs, USA Cycling and Hampton Hotels will present the Boys & Girls Club of the Pikes Peak Region with 150 Specialized bicycles at a ceremony on Aug. 1.

Scheduled for 1:00 p.m. at the El Pomar Branch of the Boys & Girls Club, the event comes after Hampton Hotels celebrated the opening of its 1,500 th hotel property on the city's southwest side. As the official hotel sponsor of USA Cycling, Hampton Hotels is showing its gratitude to the local community as an extension of its support of cycling in the United States.

USA Cycling has also partnered with Memorial Hospital for Children to provide 150 helmets to the Boys & Girls Club of the Pike Peak Region in conjunction with its Think First program. The presentation will be followed by a 45-minute educational session promoting bicycle safety.

The public is welcome to attend.
