Education and Career Development Programs help to create a desire in your child to learn and set goals for the future. With our staff's instruction we provide your child with opportunities for career exploration and educational enhancement.
Project Learn
This is an over-all concept that reinforces and enhances the skills and knowledge of members to learn. This concept supports Power Hour and all programs and activities that require high-yield results.
Power Hour
The Power Hour program gives structured homework help to members after-school. This program is incentive based and can help a student succeed with a little motivation.
Reading Counts
This reading program teaches the youth how to work together as a team while focusing on reading retention.
Money Matters
This financial education program helps teens gain useful knowledge and skills on various aspects of financial literacy, including, managing a checking account, budgeting, saving, investing, entrepreneurship, and paying for college.
Career Launch
Career Launch is the Boys & Girls Club of America’s premier career development program providing a range of services to help club members develop the skills essential for workforce success.
Orientation to Helping
Members have the opportunity to experience helping others firsthand.
Leaders in Training
This program helps teens develop the personal skills related tp employment: training in leadership, responsibilities in work situations and the importance of proper work ethic. Members get the chance to gain actual work, volunteer and community service experience.
Goals for Growth
Goals for Growth teaches club members skills for setting and achieving goals. Members set goals in six areas: Club involvement; discovery of new knowledge, skills or pastimes; service to other; school improvement; personal improvement, and career awareness.
Goals for Graduation
Goals for Graduation introduces members to academic goal setting by lining their future aspiration with concrete actions today.
TechSperts
TechSperts are members who have earned the privilege of working as teaching assistants in the technology centers.
