Volunteer for the Club

As a Boys & Girls Club Volunteer, you can change the world - one child at a time. The way Secretary of State Colin L. Powell puts it, "To change the world for the better, we've got to get back to the business of building children, instead of building prisons." Because of the value of this issue, Colin Powell has served as a governor for Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

If you question the value of a Boys & Girls Clubs experience, consider the responses of former members when surveyed by Harris Interactive. Of more than 1,500 alumni surveyed, 73 percent credited the Boys & Girls Club in helping them with their schoolwork. Another 71 percent said the Club was instrumental in their career development. But most compelling was that 52 percent said, "participating in the Club saved my life."

Clubs are open Monday thru Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. (and on weekends for selected activities) during the school year and from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. during the summer and school breaks. So come on - volunteer! What are you waiting for?
