My Virtual Club is a fully virtual Club membership option for families across the community.
Each Virtual Club member will pay a $25/month membership fee, which provides access to:
6 months of FREE Outschool classes (a $300 value!)
The Club has partnered with Outschool, an exciting marketplace of live online classes for kids! Subjects can be found in all topic areas, from academics to music to fitness and so much more! Each youth enrolled in My Virtual Club will receive access to 5 free classes per month, over a 6-month period. That’s 30 Outschool classes of your choice (a $300 value), provided at NO extra cost to you! Currently, Outschool courses are only offered for the 2021 school year and are limited to the first 200 youth enrolling in My Virtual Club.
Outschool is a marketplace of live online classes for kids. Outschool connects learners, parents, and teachers to create interest-based, small-group learning experiences that take place over video chat. Classes meet in small groups over live video chat where students are safely connected with teachers and peers who share their interests. Today, Outschool offers a library of over 100,000 live online classes. Learners can take core subjects like math, reading, and science, as well as interest-based topics you won’t find anywhere else like Spanish, LEGO Engineering or Pet Reptile Social Hour. Outschool provides safe, social fun learning experiences unlike anywhere else in the world.
My.Future Programming
MyFuture is BGCA's mobile-friendly social platform with access to over 250 Boys & Girls Club program activities in areas such as STEM, leadership, and the arts. With MyFuture, kids and teens can learn new skills, connect with their friends, and earn recognition and rewards in a safe and fun online environment. Currently, youth can participate in activities in 11 program areas, including in Digital Literacy Essentials, Media Making, Computer Science, Leadership, Visual Arts, Lyricism 101, Ultimate Journey, SMART Girls, Positive Club Climate and DIY STEM.
Monthly virtual social events with other Virtual Club members
Interactive, engaging Virtual Club Events led by Club staff will be offered once per month. These events will engage youth in fun social activities, increasing their sense of connection and belonging at the Club while allowing them to build relationships with other youth in the program. If/when COVID-19 restrictions dissipate, these virtual events will be replaced with in-person events at the Club!
Occasional Day Passes to attend the Club in-person (TBD)
The Club understand the importance of social interaction amongst youth so various day passes for specific dates & times will given to all virtual members to come out and have fun meeting other peers while engaging in fun activities at the Club!
Access to support and/or mentorship from BGCPPR staff
Our virtual Club members will receive support and mentorship from BGC staff through the monthly virtual social events and the in-person day passes to visit the Club.
In order to complete enrollment into My Virtual Club Membership, one must also create an Outschool account. After completing the Club enrollment process, an email will be sent with a link to set up the Outschool account.
